Hiking Mt Bachelor is a great afternoon of exercise with beautiful views. You can find the hiking trailhead at the parking lot of the sunrise lodge. Despite the trailhead sign being knocked over, the trail is pretty clear if you move along the edge of the parking lot just west of the chair lifts.

You’ll gain about 2,500 feet of elevation for the 2.2-mile trek to the summit. Pick a nice day and you’ll have some cool weather and clear views. After heading back into town, stop at Cascade Lakes Brewery to regain those lost calories.
