LASIK Eye Surgery

I am finally 100% glasses free. I got LASIK surgery last September but that only got me to about 20-40. The doc warned me that I had about a 10% chance of needing an enhancement so there wasn’t a big surprise there. I just did the touch-up procedure last week and could see 20-15 the next day. Friggin’ awesome.

The enhancement was fast and the discomfort was minimal. I have read about some bad experiences, but I’ve heard many more positive stories than negative ones. The first time around I had some corneal bruising from the devices that keeps your eye in place. The first procedure took about 25-30 seconds for each eye. The enhancement took 6 seconds for one eye and 9 seconds for the other. Absolutely no bruising this time around. Overall the process was very easy and I’m so glad I got it done.

A co-worker recommended Stanley Teplick in Portland/Beaverton and that’s where I went. I am incredibly satisfied and recommend the Teplick Custom Vision. Dr. Ayers at Riverbend Eyecare was my pre-op and post-op doctor here in Bend. Excellent quality there, too.
