Black Cat is Losing “The Tooth”

Black Cat has had this protruding canine tooth for a few years that seems to be getting more prominent as time goes by. The other day the vet told us the tooth would need to be extracted since it was causing some inflammation that would likely lead to future problems.

Unusually Civil

We’re still using the automatic feeder for the cats and their behavior has been interesting and unusual. Black cat tends to be a bit more aggressive, but lately Gray cat is getting to the food first and Black cat sits and waits for her to finish before going in.

I’m a little concerned that one cat may be getting more than her fair share, but I guess we’ll find out after more time passes and we re-weigh them at the vet.

Automatic Cat Feeder

This is great. We’ve acquired the Le Bistro Automatic Pet Feeder for the cats and I’ve already determined that it’s well worth the $70.

After a three-day trip the cats are…
- still alive
- look to be the same size as when we left them
- not meowing like crazy for food

We’ve got it set to feed three times per day and we’ll continue to use it while home to see if each cat is getting a reasonable amount of food.
